There are many great coding platforms out there, and many of them are extremely powerful! However, after quite some thought, we needed one that was easily accessible and one that is great for starting out in coding, but also one that can keep up with a coder's demands. We decided to use Tynker, as it covers many skill ranges, from ”Never Coded Before” to Minecraft Mods and everything in between.
Tynker is an intuitive learning tool that teaches those new to programming, or even technology in general. Through using code blocks, students will be able to get a feel for how to program basic games, as well as allow them to feel gratification through their work. With this approach, Gamechanger hopes to ignite a passion in the kids, which will motivate the kids to further their learnings and create more complex projects.
